Victoria and Anthony chose Bradgate Park in Leicestershire for their pre wedding shoot. This isn’t the first time that I’ve used the park as the backdrop for portrait shoots but each time I go, I find and explore new areas and each shoot has a totally different feel to it. This one was no different. We headed to the ruins of Bradgate House, in it’s time a magnificent Tudor House lived in at one time by Lady Jane Grey.

As well as exploring this fantastic area, Victoria and Anthony took the opportunity to naturally relax into the shoot. I can never emphasise enough how important these pre wedding shoots are. You can literally see through the viewfinder awkwardness fading, guards dropping and couples feeling more and more comfortable in front of the lens and with each other.

We had a bit of a walk and a natter about lots of things, some wedding related, others not! It was crazily calm weather; humid, no breeze but no sunshine either. Both brought their coats along but really didn’t need them! Between dodging lots of other visitors to this stunning backdrop within Bradgate Park I think we managed to get some gorgeous shots.

Well done you two. I’m now looking forward to photographing your wonderful winter wedding on the 3rd January at The City Rooms, Leicester. It will be a lovely start to my 2015! xx
